Kitzmiller v. Dover: the Darwin Only Enforcement Trial
Please, students, do not keep an open mind. Please do not think for yourselves. Please just accept the beliefs of a majority of American scientists. Please do not ask difficult questions. Please do not question the philosophical assumptions supporting macroevolutionary theory.
That is how we will keep our country great and ensure that we lead the world in science.

What exactly are your credentials for deciding what works and what doesn't in biology?
i will think for myself thank you. i'm a christian who has looked deep into this debate. trust me, science is winning. the only thing intelligent design supporters can come up with is that it's up to evolutionists to come up with the answers. do some damn research.
What baffles me is that science boasts its ability to disprove falsities, yet refuses to put Intelligent Design on the chopping block for critical analysis. If some "scientists" say intelligent design is a valid alternate hypothesis regarding the evolution of mankind then the rest of the field should gladly welcome the challenge of proving it wrong. But to censor the issue from our schools is a mistake. I see this as an opportunity for young generations of students to perform critical analyses of various explanations. I do not believe in god, nor do I believe intelligent design to be true. But I do believe in science, and I feel it should have the chance to prove itself as a legitimate field, and systematically expose intelligent design for what it is.
What this debate is really all about is that right-wing fundamentalists ensist that the Bible is the fourth divine person, perfect in every way, in fact, it is more perfect than Jesus because in any dispute the Bible wins, i.e. Christ: you are saved by faith, Creationist: you are saved by a belief in Intelligent Design. That is so sad. When these fundamentalists spread these lies they (1) are breaking God's commandment about bearing false witness, and (2) by spreading the lie that evolutionists are not saved, they are thus destroying the good name of Christians, and that is theft, which is another commandment of God. Satan wants to divide the Christian community and weaken it in any way it can, and therefore when fundamentaltists persue this creationism nonsense they are actively doing satan's work. Why don't fellow Christians stand up against these evil, wicked people???
Mellisa, you are wrong. Intelligent Design states that man could not have evolved without "help." Please tell us how you would want science, or anyone for the matter, to prove that, to put it one the "chopping block" in the same way that sceince has proven other theories, like gravity, etc. No person who understands science would propose such a plan. Why? Because you cannot prove that God exists. Try as you like, it IS A MATTER OF FAITH. But please tell me how you would prove that God exists, please. I am waiting. Faith is not science. Just because you have faith that a chemical will heal a person doesn't make it so. It has to be proven scientifically. Does that make science non-Christian? No. But of course you believe that all scientists are not Christians, and are all going to hell, so I completely understand why you would say such a thing.
Just a quick comment a "macroevolution." People like Lawrence Seldon like to say that macro changes cannot occur. Again, no evidence of that is ever give so that science can test it. For example, why not illustrate this theory in a genetic program that simulates evolution. There are several. In every case I have seen, macro changes have occured when run through a computer simulator. Second, when actual DNA is examined, and it is discovered that very, very small changes in the DNA can cause huge macro changes, then, again, this only proves that evolution is correct. So this word game that Lawrence plays with macroevoltion is again right-wing fundamental literalism, and is not what God wants from us. God wants love, not this exercise in hate from people like Lawrence.
